How exactly does the auto feed work as described on the cleansmart site:

("With the Airflex auto-feed system, you can connect Airflex Storm directly to any external or van-mounted water tank. This reduces set-up times significantly and there’s no need to install a separate pump. Just drop the auto-feed hose from Airflex Storm into any external water tank and you are ready to go.") Is it an internal pump, additional to the main machine pump?

Does the Magma heat box work in its fitted position with the machine - or is that only for transportation - the blue heat proof connector in the picture doesn't look connectable??

3:
Also what do we think about 1.5" hose results with this machine. Question comes because i don't like 2". I know all the science, airflow etc - but what about results?

I think from that description the fill is like my jag, the pumps inlet/pressure returns have hoses which can be placed into an external water supply, the pump itself will draw from it. Could add a hose fill valve also.

i have a magma and an airflex pro and can use it hooked on the back, no problems.

2" makes a huge difference on the 2x6.6 setup. There are some pretty flexible 2"hose around. Mine is horrible and due a replacement but works well.

On 50ft 1.5" my recovery tank bows is quite a bit just on an open end hose

1. it is about placing the suction hose from the machine into another tank. I dont do that, I do pump the water from 5he water tank into the machine tank.

3. with up to 100ft i would not bother with 2" hoses. I use first 75ft of 1.5inch hoses and 2 inch when more ft needed. but thats my opinion only.

Radek - I usually have the machine close to where we are working so generally 50ft all the time - occasionally 75ft, but plenty of fast drying with the 1.5 you think? Dziękuje

1. Didn't know it had an auto feed but i fill up with warm water from tap with bucket
2. I leave Magma on back of machine, only time i take it off is when go up and down steps
3. I use 75 feet of hose, 50 ft 2 inch and 25 1 1/2 inch - most jobs are completed on the 50ft

2 inch although more difficult to control extracts far more water and creates a lot more lift.

in my opinion 2inch hose does not help, airflow is measured always without the wand, when you stick the wand to the carpet airflow is rectricted and I believe 1.5 will be even better as underpressure built up faster, situation may be different with truckmount having huge waterlift.
all the myth about big hoses are against physics, somethimes sellers say ideas that are copied by others and masses do belive them. I may be wrong  but it just has no sense.
airflow meter would need to be placed between two hoses while wand sticks to the carpet, then we could see for sure.

I notice much more noise at the wand on 50ft of 2" then 1.5". I understand what Radek is saying in that there is 25% less space in the smaller hose so the air can be moved out of it quicker to get maximum lift.

On my jag, with 2" connected there seems little restriction, with 1.5" it is restricted and the tank begins to bow(squeeze in) just with the wand connected- not even on the carpet. Not used 1.5 with it since getting 2" but i may try it next week and see how it goes.

I dont have a Jag or an Airflex Storm, but I have two Scorpion! I also use 2 " Hose that I purchased with the machine from Solutions, its blue in colour and very plyable ( flexible) I would never consider going back to the 1.5 inch and the space it uses in the van is irrelevant , as I also carry 2x 50ft hose lengths in carry bags, also purchased from solutions

I always use 2" with my storm though I do have a 12" piece of 1.5 with a swivel cuff when using a twin jet 1.5 wand. Mostly use a quad 1.75 wand and go straight on with 2" hose. Stairs I use a 10ft whip hose.

Didnt have a good chance to do this today  ,im might do it tomorrow if the upholstery is clean and i need to kill time  :v     i  compared 50ft 1.5" and 50ft 2"  ...
the ultimate lift is the exact same ( i think we expected that )    the time it takes for max lift to build  ( call it the rise time ? not sure if thats the original definition )  i need to put a stopwatch on each and time the gauge needle climbing  ,  i think it might be a tad faster with the 1.5 but i couldn't decide without timing it .
I also need to compare the time in series  , parallel , and quad .
I know the needle shoots up in quad compared to series so perhaps CFM affects the rise time .
