Pics of my trailer mount
« on: April 26, 2006, 03:13:39 pm »
Hi folks, here's a few pics of my trailer mount that I made, its not too pretty yet, but when i get the chance I'll spruce it up a bit.

The 1st pic is taken from the back.

The 2nd is from the side.

I took all these while filling it up this morning, hence the yellow hose up the side.

Here's 2 more.

1st is the view of the frame that stops the tank's moving back and also helps to hold the pump box in place, it also protects the connectors to the tanks from being damaged.

2nd is a view of the frames that keep the tanks apart, the 2x4 framing fits nicely into the recesses moulded in the tank.

Here's the last 2.

1st is my pump and di box

2nd is a closer view of the pump box, under the pump is my 22Ah deep discharge gel battery, and you can see my varistream on the left.

I originally had a cheap plastic hose reel from B&Q that fitted at the back of the tanks but it was worse than useless. I'd recommend to everyone that they get a decent metal hose reel. But this one I got was bigger than I thought so I just mount it on the top of the tank frames, it sits there nicely, most of my work is concentrated in 3 large private estates so I dont strap it down in-between houses, just when I'm leaving the estates.

Thanks  guys for your kind comments.

so how did you get on useing it out on the job?

I find it great to use, and I'm getting much better at reversing with a trailer!!! Yes a van would be great, but it would also cost whay more and I only use wfp max 3  days a week, so why have  a van and all the running costs for just 3 days a week.

I'm well pleased with it.

You're too kind  :P

A Di vessel is a De-Ionising vessel, it contains a mixed bed resin that will de-ionise the water, and thereby remove all contaminates from the water, turning it into pure water for wfp-ing.

I have a 200gpd RO system that removes 99% of all the tds, the blue di vessel removes the final 1% and "Polishes" the water.

Hope this helps.

Well done.

My freind as a tralier system and he put some breeze blocks in the trailer to add some ballasatt, because as the water was used the trailer became really bouncey. He said its a lot better to tow as well.

Hi Neil, I havent found it to be bouncy when empty, maybe the suspension takes care of that on my trailer, not that I empty the tanks very often, usually I have a quarter or even a third of the water left after finishing.
