Sign writing on a van...
« on: February 28, 2015, 02:49:07 pm »
I got mine done about 2 years ago with a 3/4 wrap of bubbles then sign writing on most panels.
However I don't thinks van stands out as a window cleaning van... You have to read the small print to realise.

I'm thinking of rearranging what i already have by adding "need a window cleaner? Call ******) in large letters on the back and sides of my van. What's peoples thoughts ?

Are you mainly windows ?

I'd be more tempted to add "window" above the cleaning specialist in the same size and font

I'm hoping to build up a large domestic window round, going into commercial in later years (although I do all offices etc already)

That's not a bad idea actually, because H20 Cleaninn Specialist doesn't really say what I clean... We're as if "window" was added it's straight to the point.

Don't get me wrong I have had nothing but good feedback from my van, often people think it's a large franchise beause it looks profesional, but I can't help but think if Its straight to the point I will get even more work

Just take off the words 'cleaning specialists' and replace with Window Cleaning.

All I had sign written on my van was 'window cleaner' which seems to sum it up fine and has got me loads of work over the years.

It sort of says what I do in a way that is pretty basic that is simple to understand and easy to read.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

Heres my old transit van and the combo before and after wrap ... one extreme to the other  :)

Like the OP my wrap dont say window cleaner as much as it should - gets me the occasional enquiry will be getting redone at some point this year esp as binned the free phone number

The combo wrap has been slightly redone since the photo as they messed up the size of the lettering on the list of services but still too "busy" for my liking with hindsight.

Annoying, but I'm over it now.   >:(

Simple is best, like yours. Ian's van looks loads better with the wrap, but I doubt it's as effective as the original sign writing.
