Sebastian , Rosate 36 is a great product however you cannot buy it over the counter at the big shed stores.
Get it online , Is it for your own drive or a customers ?

Thanks for replying, customers in the future.  I'm currently researching information on various products and create a plan of action for individual surface.  Is Rosate 36 safe for other vegetation ? I want to provide weedkiller treatment after the paving is cleaned using fsc. Than, re-sand and use water based sealant just to lock the sand in joints.

I will stand corrected on this but applying the weed killer after you have cleaned would be pointless, as it's worked in via the leaves so really it needs to be treated about 10 days before pressure washing. Rosate 36 is very good but it can also harm other vegetation.

If you are applying on customers properties then you technically need a licence to spray.  
Rosate takes about 1-2 weeks to be affective,
A decent pw will remove moss/weeds ect when cleaning then let the customer maintain the weed growth thereafter .

Just to warn you that you do need a licence to spray pesticides as part of a service.  It's a stupid law! But it exists.

anyone got any views on 'Deasan No Weed' sand? £9 a bag from B&Q

thought I might buy a pallet of it and get it cheaper, but no point if it doesn't work

Dansand is dried kiln sand with an organic weed inhibitor in the mix . Costs over twice as much as a bag of kiln sand and does not work .

I thought that, was thinking of making it myself by just adding powdered weedkiller as I resand.

Where can I apply for licence to spray pesticides ? I have seen on Web that few pw trader's offer fungicide and herbicide treatments after they clean the surface. Eg.  http://bournemouthjetwashing.com/services/the-ultimate-in-block-paving-protection any idea what they use?

Mike,  is that the sand with Tommy Walsh on the front?  If so it's absolute rubbish. I used it about 2/3 years ago when it first came out. Never worked

You need PA1 & PA6 to spray pesticides/herbicides/weedkillers etc, just do a google search to find a course/training in your area.

Qwahers are very good, if you ever need any help Damian is very helpful.     Everything they sell is top quality, and fully tested.
The honda 21 lts is a nice machine, it helps speed things up when rinsing off I have noticed.

Jetmac is return to base warranty…which means it will cost you a pallet to Ireland to sort out. Then again most "issues" can be sorted out over the phone.
