Its probably one these things where they want to know whether you would like some work and should you join there org they will give you work.. Its a load of b******s..I get a few of these every year and tell them all to get lost. I asked one to give me the job and if it were for real I would pay him his fee and a bonus on top, he hung up

All you need to know really.

It's an old scam.  They normally say they've been contracted to represent the local council...

Ignore them.

Was just speaking to a friend of mine who's signed up to the 'police & armed services' one ::)roll
She's already paid, I didn't ask how much.
I didn't have the heart to tell her it's a scam.

I got done myself when I first started.
Think they did me for about £500 from memory.

They asked if I wanted a years work cleaning Government Departments and left that number to call. Got too much work anyway so didn't call back. Then I thought I'd google the number as her accent wasn't exactly Wiltshire!

It might be good to explain it to her.  There might be some kind of 14 day cooling off period - by law - where she can say "Give me my money back!" (they probably won't).  But then maybe if she's paid by bank card or credit card, those organisations could help get the money back.

Just an idea; I know very little about this kind of thing.

no way Jose
