Can anyone beat this? We did commercial for £300.00 and got paid £30,000 they were on the phone as quick as a flash.
I did a builders clean on a very large house for a managing agents a good few years ago who paid me £325 instead of £75 by bacs. When a few days later I realised I phoned up and spoke to a very disinterested receptionist who told me that I was the lucky one and to keep it which made no sense. She simply didn't want to know.Being not sure what to do I phoned up again a week or so later and the phone line was no longer in use. Then I sent two letters, the first one by ordinary post and the second by recorded delivery. The recorded delivery one was undelivered. On the next rainy day a few weeks after, and a few months after being over paid, I drove to their office about 30 odd miles away to read a notice on the front door something about anyone having a claim against the company to put it in writing to an address given who were the appointed receivers or something like that.I never heard any more about it.
buy law I have heard that you don't have to give it back which is discusting
Quotebuy law I have heard that you don't have to give it back which is discustingYes you do. There's been a number of cases of people going on a spending spree, such as in the link below, it's classed as 'dishonestly retaining a wrongful credit'.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2595560/Make-hay-sun-shines-Family-defend-woman-went-spree-council-accidentally-gave-52-000.html
Got a call from a custy today to say he was sorry to do this but he was paying my bill at the same time as his credit card and he'd paid me £2,050 if I had received it could I have it back?! funny thing is ages ago he asked for a slip to pay online he then later said he'd paid cash and more or less said I'd had the cash and in future he wanted a receipt then found his bill i'd left! good job I am honest!! Shocked anyone else ever had a wrong transfer?
