I wouldn't  justify  paying that sort off money my slx is two n half years  old n still  going strong.  There was a thread on about the extreme  a couple off week s ago that  a guy only had it a couple off  months and it looked  like a two year old pole

They've brought out a 3' collapsed length pole - called a tad-pole.

id say its the smarter windows cleaners choice of pole.if your look after them they should last you 2 years(main everyday pole).

they cut down the risk of RSI in the future from poling every day for sure.
price higher/work harder!

Gardiners extreme poles are the best poles money can buy I've had all others and there is no comparison,I've had my extreme poles for well over 2 years and are still in perfect working order. Ridiculously good  all in one poles for up and down windows without the need to change poles between up and down windows,IMO any others that disagree have never owed an extreme pole

my first extreme pole (25 footer) was used every day for virtually all my work for 18 months.the top 2 sections are worn now but ill buy 2 replacements and itll last another year at least.

my new one has metal clamping bands which will reduce wear.

every week i take the sections apart and flush them out with water, dry off,re assemble and then spray with dry PTFE spray.i use the specialist silver WD40 stuff(mine cost me under £7 inclu delivery on amazon)

dont over extend the sections,be careful when shutting windows(stand further back).

every few months or so replace the joint stop tape

clean pole hose during your working day often with a cloth

dont overtighten the clamps.just tweak them so they just hold the section

Extreme pole is good for high work but not for heavy handed work use like pushing windows shut as they are not as robust as a normal SLx. Good poles for lightness and rigidity but not for strength or long life abusive use
