Hi Avo,
Sorry not got back to you sooner, but I see that Rob@blastoff has linked a vac he has used from Kevin Martin @ tilinglogistics.co.uk. Kevin is on the Kings Road Birmingham and the Web page is tilinglogistics.co.uk.
He is also listing on fleabay under tiling-logistics which you may find easier to navigate through as it has a section on wet vacs+rotary scrub/scrubbers and you can see all available.
You will see he is listing a 90 litre 3000w machine (green top) which is £399 del which I like as it has switched separate motors which makes it very flexible and without speaking to Kevin I would assume in the unfortunate event of a motor going down on a job at least you have two others because of the individual switches to call on(unless you are using all three at the time).
The larger skyvacs have this individual switching which I think is useful.
Also as you will see Kevin can modify the inlet and pipe to 50mm from the supplied smaller bore good for guttering. But you will see that from the listing.
I know you said size matters to you!! But I have not come across anything with a smaller tank as it is not a problem to overcome for us.
Is the size concern due to storage at home or transporting?
The only thing I haven’t compared is the air flows between each as some quote L/m L/s etc but that is easy enough to get to terms with when comparing.
We in due course will look at a larger machine but are happy at present with the older multi 30T with the larger motor.
My remit on a machine would be 50mm flexi and input, separate switching to the 3 motors and of course the best air flow, spares availability would also be looked at and also price. But as usual you get what you pay for.
We had a Kiam 3000w wet/dry machine which lots have people use, valeters etc but spare parts are a nightmare and expensive if available and plug got very hot. We got rid of it in the end and I wouldn't have another.
I have a friend who has the nilfisk you are looking at and is very pleased with it but operates it on the small bore pipe for valeting but I am sure a larger flexi etc could be sorted out.
Numatic have a range of wet and dry large vac’s that might be worth looking at.
I am old school buy once buy right.
Bit of a long piece but hope that all helps.
Regards
Andrew.
