Did anyone ever buy a Woodbridge escape electric truckmount?

For the money I think it's a great buy its a touch down in power from your Woodbridge and no heat, you could put it in a small van.

No it's not a Titan but it depends on what you want to achieve.

The one I saw had a caravan shower heater, these are used by the window cleaners to heat their water fed poles. You could use the new range of high temp pumps and let the hot water be fed straight through the pump.

I experimented a couple of years ago with these heaters feeding directly from an outside, cold tap ( no pump, just tap pressure)

But I've used the same Cat pump for over 5yrs and have never done anything to it, not even changed the oil. I weekly run very hot water through it with no problem, I've also ran loads of different Powdered detergents through it ( with a pre-filter) still no problem. Which pumps are so fragile that they can't handle detergents?

The pump I used before this pump was also over 5yrs old and I treated that the same, that was a comet pump.

I treat my pumps like dirt and abuse the hell out of them, they just keep on going.

I emailed Woodbridge to see if the mytee escape was going to be demonstrated at the TACCA day and below is the reply

Good Morning Chris,
I'm afraid the ETM isn't something that we will be demonstrating. We have deemed that the UK market needs to have hot water, a cold water machine just isn't an option over here. The heating system we developed for it proved to be too complex for the operator on a number of occasions so we have pulled production on these machines now I'm afraid.

In my opinion.......

They approached the whole heat problem the wrong way, they went down the small gas shower route, were  they already had the systems in place to import from the states, if they were filing a container with escape TM They could have shipped across some little giant water heaters. these are the heater of choice by many truckmount builders and can handle 3000psi + so would handle tile &  grout  as well

There is a market for reliable water heaters that require no electricity supply both as a retro-fit for truckmounters and in the powerwashing field.

True , the whole auxiliary heat thing is so well established in the states , how could woodbridge overlook it , a little giant is just 1000usd there , bet if they had that combo setup the last time they demonstrated it they might have shifted a few .

There is def one guy in essex bought one , he was on TMF one time praising it .
Overall , wrong timing perhaps , lack of effort by both Woodbridge and Mytee .
looks like thats it for now.

Its Incredibly difficult to control the heat with the low flow used by carpet cleaners, they are designed for 15lts+ , You get massive heat spikes and the pressure is often too low to activate the flow switch so with upholstery the burner does'nt Fire up.

Mike - I am currently using an aux water heater (bought from qwashers of Settle) with a tm that never produced good heat - it works extremely well with fantastic heat and perfectly good for lower flow c250psi - it is fantastic for carpets and heat/high pressure i.e. 2000 psi on hard floors no problem (I use an SX15) but will also do upholstery but is better with an old fashioned open spray type uph tool rather than SS or drimaster type - and they are very efficient heaters uses very little diesel but is 240v ignit. fired so has to be plugged in.

Qwashers is still selling them see eBay item number:170451420084 - if anyone wants to add one to their TM then it is a very good option - they can come and see mine working - heats up in less than 5 mins and for many jobs you turn off heat 20 mins before finishing job and it is hot until end of job - best hillbilly machine around mine is...

I've used the same system for the last 12yrs, like you say they do give fantastic heat but they aren't perfect.

The soot Is also a problem, do you use a Chimney?

Woodbridge built the Hercules truckmount which used a diesel burner, pity they stopped making them

Oh right I thought you had trad hx setup on yr tm. I am using the high pressure machine I put together for hard surfaces of all sorts while my other machine is being re-fitted in newer van. Yes I was going to mention the sooting problem mine has a chimney extension - I just park a bit further away than usual  its not had a good press recently diesel smoke has it, bloody Boris -

I dont really enjoy uph but have found by time it gets really hot I turn fan down to just blow air over coil and it stays hot for ages - most carpet I trigger non stop virtually anyway...

the problem with burners is they have  2 setting, full blast or off.

if their was a way to control the amount of diesel being injected into the chamber so you could turn it down then you could control the heat better.

I alway think I should look into fitting a smaller jet to see if this would restrict the amount of injected diesel

Question for John Martin - as he seems to travel incognito all I know is he is from the fair city!

John - can I put an ametek single stage vac (model no: 117304-50) into a Prochem steampro porty with an existing three stage - i.e. can I wire them into the same connector inside and still only use the one power source that provides power for the pump and vac as designed.

Presumably they would then run off the same switch. As you may know the vac baseplate easily allows another vac to be added - just wondering about the current draw.
