why do I need the one with the sensor on top its not as if the water board are going to stop the water or am I missing something ?

They are the same pump but the more expensive one (the bit on the top) will shut the pump when the water suply is stoped, it stops the the pump running dry. If you use a float vave or solenoid then go for the expensive one.

I second that, go for the top one, i have had mine for over 4 years and its still going, you get what you paid for. its a Gem

Don't get one of these for a ton. Ours hasn't missed a beat for three years, more ? I dont think its expensive enough.

According to the literate the ones you linked are 48 M head, the one we have is 46 M head.. its reads about 85 PSI on the gauge once it running.

looks like this bad boy on the to buy list along with new 4040 filter .... still using the same 4040 I got off Andy when I bought his van / system 5 years ago but I thing its nearly dead.

Ive been looking at GAPS and Mick CleanClear) says it does 85psi so should be ok for HF4 HF5 and the new ultra low membrane
