water meter, charges!
« on: April 24, 2006, 12:34:12 pm »
Hi all, need some advice.

i moved into a new house in december and am now metered! originally I didn't tell the water company about consumption. I have just read the meter and have been told that my water bill will be double what i was paying. I am now going to pay £30.00 per month as opposed to £15.00.
I have no problem with this and see it as an overhead of the business ( if it costs me just over a £0.80 a day not to have to climb ladders I can live with that!)

the lady at the water company said that I need to call the sewerage water company aswell, because they will charge me an increased rate inline with consumption, i explained that not all the water goes down the drain! she said that they might make an allowance for this.

has anyone come up against this and if so what sort of discount did they make?

for those not on a meter you have had a result!

approx according to the meter reading 1000l per day. I must be honest I have no idea what ratio my RO produces, I have a 300l van mount (i know this suggests 3:1 ish) Is there a way of deciding how much waste flow I should have?
