ive recently bought loads of new tunes off itunes as i got upgrad to iphone 6 so now my battery last longer than 1-2 hours without charging i can listen to music whilst i work

bit strange but as the music is for work purposes could these be used against tax etc and put down as an entertainment expense of some sort

Doubt it, you'd have to prove you only listen to them at work, plus why bother anyway... There are 100's of more relevant things to claim back!

Very doubtful it's even an eligible thing to aim back on!

I'm sure you would get away with it - so long as HMRC didn't check up on you.  If they did, I'm pretty certain they would disallow it and maybe even impose a penalty for taking the p .

Of course they can but in the case of pubs and schools, the items are being used for the business e.g. providing music for customers or education for kids.

You can only claim expenses needed for the running of your business.

Your business doesn't need downloaded music in order to operate so nope, it's not a legitimate business expense.

Richy if you want to help yourself to some tax saving then register your business offshore, not to far away. Hilbre Island does it. You just pick your mail up from it once a month and they also do their own domain names ending in HI. so for example ...www.windowcleandirect.hi   . And they're cheap too. You can also Domicile yourself there if you visit every weekend, just say you like Puffins and Seals. The fella awho lives in the house there is very friendly and approachable.

Pointless downloading from iTunes because they make it near impossible to use any other platform.

iTunes is a bit of a weird one.
You didn't buy the songs, nor do you own them but you've entered into a lifelong lease agreement with Apple (see the Bruce Willis iTunes Battle).
As they aren't yours and never will be I doubt HMRC would be very enthusiastic.
