The best type of moderator would be one that allows me to post what I want, whether it's insulting, rude, defamatory, or just plain nasty, but who will moderate others who say similar.

This forum is getting a bit ridiculous, time to spend more time off it me thinks, all you get is people being incredibly opinionated,

E.g, when I said about trad being quicker on SOME houses, all of a sudden a marathon thread shows up with People banging on about personal issues etc etc,

Tosh shouldnt be involved in that sort of thread, rather should of warned us all earlier and locked it earlier if needs be. Instead he joined in, then locked it

And accepted.
When he accepted, he was still on the drink.

No he wasn't. When he stopped throwing his life down the pan he disappeared from here for a while, no doubt to sort his bonce out. That was when the forum was - different   and we're still waiting for his bonce to catch up.

If you look back through his posts he mentions how he was a mod on a previous occassion when he was on the sauce and had to step down then as he made a habit of offending posters, flaming individuals and basically being the forum twerp and trouble maker - however this time he's meant to have been sober all the time he's been moderating here. Some might find that debatable, I'm sure we understand what life is like when the world revolves around you, but he will Im sure assure anyone to the contray if he were asked.

As for 'emotional sobriety', you've thrown your toys out of the pram and deleted your account at least four times, not counting all the times you've been banned (not all by me).  Your old accounts litter the ban log.  

Then there was that time you lost your temper, gave a final last statement, deleted your account, and then logged on with a sockpuppet account to see what we were saying about you.

As for Tosh's moderating, I cannot see what the issue is. It's a storm in a teacup and to me, it's all about having a go at someone just for the sake of it which often happens on this forum.

Well said Ross, I could read Tosh's posts all day, some very deep and thought provoking stuff on the mad section of the forum.
