I've never collected money in 10.5 years. More and more are paying by BACS since I added my bank details to my slips, I get hardly and cheques through the post any more because of the BACS paymebts.

start as u mean to go on ... the more u can automate the better ... when I started 5 years back I only offered payment on day or cheque in post NO COLLECTING .... few years later started BACS now approx 75% of mine pay this way.

Just tell them from the off that u don't do collecting ... maybe look ay go cardless ?

I've never collected per se. Knocked for outstanding payment if the cars' on the drive and it's owed once or twice.
Definitely my favourite payment method is GoCardLess.
140 customers, every single one of them paying on the 1st of the month.
Best business decision I've made in a very long time.

a mixture.

BACS,cheques, standing orders and a bit of collecting/pay on the day of clean.

and YES some of my customers pay up front for 3 or 4 cleans.a guy last month paid me a WHOLE YEAR in advance.

i dont care really as long as i get paid in the end. ;) :)
