Dazmond I would have to respectfully disagree with you.
It is very easy, once modified , to add / remove sections from any make of pole - I have basically adopted exceeds hoseless pole concept. It isn't a faff, in fact I could remove 3 sections from my 40 ft pole in less time than taking the pole back to the van packing it away and reaching for a 25 ft one.
A 47 ft extreme may be a brilliant bit of kit but if only using 10 -20 times a month at the best part of a grand, would take a long time to pay for itself. ( unless bought to cover all work and remove sections when not needed)
I have a clx 27 as a spare pole, I am not disputing it is good to have a spare, but in the last 3 years there has never been an occasion where I've needed it.
I think the future innovations in wfp lie in its adaptability. Gardiners already stock extension kits, exceed has brought a new way of thinking with regards to hoseless design and making removing sections easy without having to remove and re thread hose. If budget is an issue and only buying one pole means you can have something lighter and of better quality then I think its a good suggestion and the way forward.
