After calculating how much electricity is being used to run your business, how do you go about claiming for that when it comes to tax?

I leave everything like that to my accountant. The time and sweat it would cost me chasing every last little drip of allowable expense would far outweigh the accountancy charges.
I rate my leisure time at £500 per hour - if I had to pay for it, that is.

Dave, what about when u need to use ur laptop to do ur invoices, and do u do this in the dark, u are also ok to use the kettle to make a brew, there's loads mate.
What there is for sure is a bracket based on ur turn over so as long as you don't take the preverbal it's ok.
Just put ur full bill in, I have never been queried and am not braking no laws
