Flubber Removal
« on: February 06, 2015, 12:26:20 pm »
Went to price a childrens nursery and there were white marks all over the carpet tiles. They said it was Flubber. A mixture of Borax, PVA glue ansd water, which I think makes a sort of kneading play doe that the kids play with. I think it's the remnants of the PVA that is on the carpet and there are too many marks to individually spot.
Can get the truckmount up onto the first floor and hit it with high heat and alkaline pre-spray with grease breaker if necessary....

or Can I try and encap it with Dynamall and say use a green pad well lubricated to pull the glue off that way.

Any help would be appreciated - as ever it's a charity building and I don't want to run away with the price if I can find an easier way to remove the PVA which looks like a sort of latex glue sitting on top of the carpet tiles.
Thanks in advance
Tony

Hi Jamie

Thanks for that.......turn up the heat and it should dislodge from the carpet fibres. Stuck the quote in as they need it removing anyway.
