Come on Jouk.

This is just plain wrong. There is a line that morally shoudn't be crossed. I have never spoken to Peter or had any contact with him and in fact we are competitors however I am sure that he has spent a whole lot of time and his own money developing his brush. It is also subject to a pending patent I believe.

To ask here for pics so that you can copy or adapt it is not what this forum is about in my opinion.

andrew, i think everyone is picking me up  wrong, i have no intensions of making one or copying it, in fact i have my own brush invention that activates and touches the glass, i abandond it, and peter knows this as i have spoke with him, just before he brought his out , why i wanted a picture  for was to show folk who are building the diy systems, what they could use to active the water with pressurised systems and backbacks, so quite the opposite andrew. i was just laughing at the thought that p.bowen assumed this, but i was busy and just typed  (LOL), i just got lazy,i should have responded wiser, thanks jouk45

This is what always gets me thinking , if a person did want to make a brush like peters , why exactly couldnt he ?
As long as it wasnt exactly identical , whats the problem ?

So does this mean that my and all other peoples trolly systems are breaking the law , surely one company out there has a patent on a trolly !

Whats the difference , do you get my point ?

p@f, think what andrew is saying is, its not fair copying or diying anyones elses idea who has put a lot of money into their product. especialy if they are member or associated in the window cleaning industries. wfp is a fast growing industry, we are looking for cheaper, easier,  faster, lighter, products. and that is my aim, if anything i have given more ideas, to help window cleaner, And their will be many more to come, i will respect, and not step on anyones toes where possible, andrew am a nice guy realy, jouk45

Hi again Jouk.

I believe ya when u say that you are a nice guy mate.. honestly!!  :)

You have to admit.. as you have already that it did look a lil sus and that,s why I reacted in the way that I did.

To pick up your point Rich. There's nothing at all wrong with someone making something of their own design especially if it is better or more suited to their own needs. We live in a competetive world. I do have my own set of moral standards (believe it or not) and realise that there is often a moral line that should not be crossed. Some people will not respect others and will use someone elses sweat and money to their own benefit. If we all were to become this way then it would be a very sad state of affairs for us all.

Cheers

Andrew

Rich, being not exactly identical is not enough.  Patents are granted to protect things like this to prevent the intellectual property being stolen, just like the law protects your goods from being stolen.  The law doesn't stop things being stolen, but if a culprit is caught they will be punished.  In the case of intellectual property the punishment is a fine dependant on the amount of money the culprit has made from the theft.  It does have to be proved in court that the property has been stolen in the first place.

You could however think of a way of doing it better than I have done, I have personally registered three different versions of the Autobrush so as a little change of the original idea should be covered by my original application.  There must be other ways that I have not thought about though.

As far as the trolley goes, my system was the first one on the market to make the use of separate water containers to save any pouring of water from container to trolley, you just slot a full one in when needed.  You can't get a Patent on transporting water on a trolley, as there is nothing new about it even although I was the first to do it for water fed poles.  The Patent office would have laughed if I had tried to get a Patent for that.

correct peter, and i know most of all the patent laws,  peter put a pic of it up on the forum, after all its patent protected, and already out for sale, so their is no big secret to hide.   like any other product thats being sold over the internet  display the brush, am sure folks like to see what they are buying before phurchasing it, if its not patented abroad then i will understand why you dont want close ups for it,  jouk45

Or you could just buy one and then you can look at it as often as you wish ;D
