Been asked to clean a linen sofa
« on: January 29, 2015, 07:40:16 am »
Not a material I have come across in the 10 years I have been running, have not been and inspected as yet, assuming don't over wet, use Haitian cotton cleaner ? And dry rapidly so I don't get water marks, scrims are made from linen and they take a battering and can be boiled

Cool, will see if she gets back to me, said I need to pre inspect, but she wants her carpets doing also, see you stock it John, so if she books, will be in touch..

Did just find this online, really wouldn't go near anything using petrol myself !!!

Grease is another typical problem with linen upholstery. Grease stains can be removed with the help of a small amount of petrol or trichloroethylene. Dab the stains, then spread talc on the area and brush it off thoroughly. Rinse thoroughly the treated area with water and let to dry. -
