Daz why don't you put your DI in your van after the pump box , As you fast fill your tank every night lower flow rate resin will last longer
It's nothing to do with that mate.its lower quality resin.it should be lasting longer.im gonna try another brand after I've used up this other full bag I've got.

My tap tds hasn't risen either as I check that regular too.
price higher/work harder!

what hes saying daz is that it will help it last longer than what it is at the moment,we know it about the quailty issue, but putting it in the van and fitting it in will make it last longer

He is correct Dazmond, it is less efficient to fill your tank through the vessels- the faster the flow the less efficient.

oh yes I'm right I honestly couldn't justify spending a small fortune on resin each year

I went from Ro to DI back to an Ro spending over £300 a year on resin when , Das you could buy another pole  ;D ;D .

We're in Colchester mick, seriously hard water, like literally chewable water. Mines anything from 420-500ppm

475PPM - down to either 1ppm or 3ppm on one system at the moment, the other system produces at 8ppm.

The water is then combined to produce PPB water for each van.

I have only ever used Tulsion resin ONCE.

We stick to Purolite as it lasts longer and we get it free HA!

Purolite has to be the worst resin I've ever used!!

Im guessin you use a merlin or a 450 gpd ro??
If you switch to a 4040 you will get 007-012 from ro before resin making a sack of resin last between 6 months to a year. My water is also hard between 360 and 450. When i used a merlin i was buying a sack a month which was so costly.
Id defo consider changing your ro.

I doubt very much it's the same model number.

Chum. Nope. We have used that before though. Didn't notice any difference.

PPB = PPB. We use the same technology to measure the water as what they use in semi conductor manufacture.

Resistance.

Same method as PPM.

even with new filters our merlin only takes it down to 69 , but were not on a meter so I don't mind paying for resin , may look into a new r.o. this year when I move
