Do you leave on frost stat setting, or put them on to a certain temp?

If you put them on, do you just put them on full power?

depends if you have van plylined and insulated my combo isnt insulated i leave it on the max setting 6 as use my parents electricity

when i had a vivaro tho that was insulated prob get away with having it on much lower

I had mine set just above the frost setting for normal weather, but would crack it up if going lower than minus 4 overnight

Usually i leave it on full whack but i put mine on frost setting last night (-2)
The hoses were fine but the metal connector going into the hosereel was frozen (didnt notice untill was out to work, so left it next to the exhaust to thaw out!!)

I forgot to put mine on last night....woke up to frozen hose.
I normally have it Set to half on a thermostat the van is mildly warm in the morning and not like a sauna.

Mine I think has , but I just leave it on max , don't really see much added to the electric bill

full whack.i always bring hose reel inside to make room for the heater.

no minus temperatures forecast overnight here in manchester for the forseeable future though.its warming up a tad!

How do you insulate your van?
Getting a new one at some point this year and this is definitely one of the things I want do.

I don't because I cannot heat my van overnight,  but if I were to and van was ply lined I'd stuff hot water tank jackets behind the ply, foil material ( like you put behind radiators to reflect the heat ) on the floor with a rubber matt on top. And maybe carpet with contact adhesive to inside of roof.

A trick I have used is getting all my tank to pump hoses at least a foot of the van floor and lagging as this helps to stop freezing.I have left my hose on the vans floor and only have that section freeze.

I'd've thought the lagging would've just done it?
