30ft Slx
« on: January 22, 2015, 11:39:26 pm »
I wonder what this is worth 2nd hand .

Has new clamps . It's probably 29ft as its had a few inches removed when sections have cracked .
It's got a carbon neck on it

I'd imagine they sell well on eBay .

I was just going to say the same thing.

Really we all should wait till our poles are half way through their life and sell them. Then buy a new pole with it, mayb have to stick another £100 or some thing but you get a new pole every few years for a Little bit of cash.

Priced up a Extreame 25ft and its £540 with add ons .

I know it's a massive amount of cash . Atm I can't buy one .

I have 25ft slx and 30ft slx , plus a 18ft & 45ft China classic .
The 25ft SLX is newer , and I do have the new clamps to fit to it soon .

I'd like another 30ft pole but they don't do it in the extremes .
Either 25ft or 35ft

As I have the 45ft pole , maybe a 25 ft Extreame be ok

Wonder what Desmond advises

I use a thirty five foot Extreme with one section taken off as my everyday pole.

How quick is it to do that Dave .
Just unclamp , disconnect pole hose
Job done - 2 mins .

Id have to have a Aqua-adaptor on it .
I know that's against Gardiners religion .

Is s Extreame ok with a aqua adaptor on .

35ft seems commons sense with taking last length off .

Be about £700

It's peanuts with the money you make from vision.

Just whip the section off same as SLX

I don't use an aquadapter so can't comment on it. I have two 35 Extremes - the other is set up for the higher stuff and has an extension pack to take it up to fifty feet or more (can't remember exactly).

 ;D

I don't think my Vision money could buy a Extreame , maybe in 12 months - lol .
Website cost £420 from a at Jones , very good person to deal with .

I would like a Extreame and think the 35ft would be better than the 25ft extreame .
Especially as replacing the 30ft slx pole

I use the Slx clamps that have been upgraded .
Yes I do preference the vertical clamps , but the steel insert is a good idea as it means their not clamping on the carbon .

I'm 50-50 atm . Won't be in the immediate future anyway .

Alternative Is the NEON . ???

heres an idea kempy.why dont you sell the 2 SLX poles on ebay?the 25 ft and 30 ft and put the money towards a 25 ft extreme?if you got say £240 for the 2 then you d only have to put £300 to buy a brand new extreme 25.

so then your left with 3 poles

18 ft china pole

25 ft extreme (main pole)

45 ft china pole (higher level work)

price higher/work harder!

Not a bad idea .
I do have a lad that helps me once or twice a week .

Id prefere to keep the 25ft slx for him .

We're see .
30ft slx new is about £410 is it .
Extreame 35ft about £700 .

Even if get £200 , still £500 to add.
It's a hell of a lot, and atm might just plod on

i have

2 extreme 25 s

1 extreme 47

SLX 22

my new extreme 25 gets used for 90% of my work day in/day out for regular window cleaning,f/s/g and conny roof cleaning with various brushes and goosenecks.

the 47 gets used for the higher level work and solar panel cleaning

the SLX 22 is a spare emergency pole but does gets used on the odd occasion.

the other extreme 25 has 2 top worn sections which ill replace in time.

the new extreme feels a bit more robust with the addition of the new metal clamping bands compared to the older model.

i used the extreme with an aqua daptor no probs kempy but when both   AD s i had broke on me within a few months i went back to a tap at brush end
price higher/work harder!

the only thing is kempy if you buy the 35 footer and take a section off to use as your every day pole you wont have the insulated base section.
