The owner in the video. The pole he showed was an Ionics Glyder. When shown the Reach-It pole he said it was such a good idea about the hose outside the pole and the sections come apart.
The Glyder can have the hose outside the pole, der...., and the sections come apart, der.....
The end cap on the Ionics pole that he made such an issue about, if he'd have phoned up Ionics they would have sent out a new one free of charge. He could also have bought new sections individually and probably got replacement clamps free of charge as well.
Why did he use tape to stick the clamps on? Glue is simpler and works better. It's not rocket science.
I'm not a particular fan of Ionics by a long way and I don't like to be critical but why do I get the feeling this was pretty much a staged event to promote and advertise Reach-It poles.
