Paying self employed leaflet droppers
« on: January 20, 2015, 02:48:48 pm »
New leaflet getting designed for multiple services so no longer door knocking and moving over to leaflets only.

I could deliver them myself but can better spend the time so looking into getting some self employed leaflet droppers.

No jog post my way and don't appear to be any GPS tracked companies so looks like using my own guys as way forward.

I think the time to drop 1000 leaflets would be about 8 to 9 hours bearing in mind I don't want the 2 up 2 downs or multiple blocks of flats  so do you think £80 per thousand is fair ?

Anyone got experience of this already ?

My aim is to drop 5000 leaflets a month from Feb to September this would hopefully bring in about 15 to 20 new window cleaning customers per month which would be a bonus as now chasing for the add ons like pressure washing, conny roofs, upvc and gutters.

That's more than fair but I'd have a lead bonus scheme in place as well just to help encourage a full thousand drop

I was speaking to a guy i know who has a contract with age uk, they post the bags and go back and have them picked up. Hes really clued up on all aspects of leafleting and costs of it. He has 8 ppl working for him that do the leafleting, they each do 1000 per day. He said that he would charge me £20 per thousand and that it would only be going out with the bag but he wants a minimum order of 8k otherwise its not worth him doing...he also said i could go behind and check any areas to make sure that the leaflets are posted. Might be worth having a look at Ian?

Ill have a word with the guy and see if he covers your area, i know he goes over into manc so he might go over your way as well mate. Im going to get 20,000 done by him i think...i can get 20k a5 double sided 170gsm leaflets for £150 and get him to deliver 16k over 2 days which should cost me £320. Altogether £470 which i think is a bargain as long as it all goes to plan

And thank you mate, i really appreciate it  :-*  ! Iv really put some effort in over the last couple of months on it. I had a report done and it came back as c r a p....got everything sorted (nearly) and now im trying to add more pages and do a lot more social media, youtube videos ect! Its a job in its self though

I agree. I share with a Takeaway. We both pay £2.50 hour. Someone does a few hours a week. Pocket money for all.
Last women dumped them.
I wish I could do it. I do 1 hour and swet is pouring off me. I have Planter Fasciitis and can take 1 year to go. Sole of my foot kills when walking. Ok  until about midday.

Yeah i currently have this or maybe touch wood had it. I purchased memory foam inserts from poundland and changed them every month. New shoes every 3 months and touch wood its stopped. Not fun is it :(

Quick question then. Might be silly  :-X Do you wear gloves when dropping leaflets?

well well Bobby P ... welcome back !!! .............. yup did leaflets for a while and still got some .... 18000 of them ...

kinda went thru a really bad off spell last year totally fell out of love with the job NEARLY sold up and very nearly went back to motor trade ... in the end just downsized to give me time to do other add ons which I enjoy more .. not really wanting to gain more window customers but nice steady stream of pressure washing, connies , upvc, gutters .......... however wont say no to more window customers - just see how it develops.
