Im sure there will be some debate on this one.

Im putting a second van on the road and building my own WFP setup into it.

The question is.

Whats the collective opinion on best 12v pumps for the job.

which pumps last longest, deliver best flow, best value..  etc etc etc..

Shurflo for me, never let me down in over 5 years currently have 8 in operation.

Vy air pumps always looked a great alternative, you can get higher flow rates as well and cheaper than shurflo

Flojet are supposed to be excellent.


Steer clear of the really cheap ones off ebay they are carp and burn out after 3 to 4 weeks use

Shurflo for me too , mine is 9 years now ,7 of which i never had the controller set to dead end the pump and im still on the original pressure switch, pretty hard to beat that !

I sold one of my DIY pump box's and have bought one of these china pumps etc
Although it's more of a dark nights project and as a backup to the shur-flo.
haven't used anything other than shur-flo so couldn't comment on others.

Im intend to build this system onto a pallet for easy switching of vans. Where do you guys gut the Grey boxes that you uses for DIY pump boxes?

Search for euro container or stackable euro box. Some charge to much for postage.
Or try a leisure battery box from Midland Chandlers. Fit the shur-flo on top of the lid and the control just below. Cheap and compact.
