                     is there a simple way to measure up for a total pressure washing novice like me?

Pace it out, I also have a measuring wheel for really big jobs

Then it's length x width for m sq. ( or ft sq if you prefer )

copy and paste that to your browser that's what I use. big enough to cover larger areas aswell. I like measuring up each time as customer knows you aren't taking the p. everyone seems to have their own way to price I personally price by square meter. ps im a complete novice aswell so good luck!

I don't measure up as it doesn't matter to me if I'm cleaning 50 or 54m2

Half day or full day for me now days. Used to do it by the metre but was loosing the bigger jobs

I measure up and work it out - or it looks like I do  Then I give a price based on how long it will take versus the water supply. you'll soon get to know how long things take

In theory yes I should have subbed last years work out coz they due again now, I did sub 1 of the sites out to a guy who was poo to put it blunt. I had to go there every night to check his work and the first 2-3 hours of next day I had him doin wot he should have done first time. This kind of put me off the idea an thought al do it next week but am still saying it now. I am going to do a site next week for them, for real tho this time, I have been there today to sort out wot they want doing, all exterior building,cladding and all paving and car park curbs, will be on agenda no doubt plus the dam gutters.
I don't know how to measure it but if I was to say I reckon about a week at it all day an maybe just get it done

we have all read  a lot of nonsense on here, especially in the past by a certain person. when someone states I have loads of pressure washing work waiting to be done then states he doesn't know how to price it, what do you recon seriously

He does not know how to price it...fair enough.

I know a man who is/was washing large supermarkets all over the Uk...He was a window clean who said ...'yes I can do that for you" .  

As for pricing ...too many variables to give a price at this stage. Travel,type of surface,drainage,machine running costs ...I don't need to tell you ,we are all aware of these things. I learnt these skills by the mistakes I made early on ..thats not to say I don't make them still just a little less often.

Iv heard that matt does work at some pretty exclusive places in liverpool (i dont want to say because he might not want me to) and the impression i got is that he is very well in there....he can do "whatever" he want there and just tells them a price.

Pressure washing work needs to be carried out at the place which he knows he can carry out if he tells them, but first he needs to work out how to price it so both sides get a decent deal
