damask wool rug

 ???can anyone advise me on a damask wool rug where colour has run onto white and dried a dirty brown colour how can this be restored and cleaned correctly ??? any tips or advice much appreciated.

My first question would be '' how did it get into this condition''?

More information regarding rug required... a picture would help

Removal of fugative dyes is very specialised which is why there haven't been any replies as yet

cleaned rug with hydromist lite and never saturated seemed to be doing the job fine up until I left it to dry the shampoo I used was selfoam woolsafe carpet and upholstery extraction cleaner.PS thankyou for response

Before cleaning

Did you carry out a colour bleed test?

What are the pH values of the chemicals that you used?

Am I right in thinging that you pretreated with the Hydromist light and shampoo then rinsed with what?
