Chat conversation start

Hi Carol
What rooms were you interested in having cleaned?
Kind regards

Owen

Lounge, Stairs and landing.
No carpet in the Hall

What type of cleaning is it pleased?

Hi Karen
Sorry for the delay - Just putting 2 boys to bed.
The average stairs, landing and living room is about £75.
I'm 14 years established, fully qualified and insured.
Let me know if you'd like to book something in.
Also please check out www.cleaning4swindon.co.uk
Kind regards

Owen

p.s. Hot water extraction cleaning aka. steam cleaning - though not just some vax machine, fully professional £3,500 machine

I had my Carpets cleaned last year by another cleaning company and it lifted the dirt sitting on top of the pile when
they finished.
It had to be done by another stronger brand shampoo product.
Their normal cleaning product did not work.
Hence the reason for asking?
Am just wondering what the
shampoo product will be cause of the last time please?
Hope You do not mind me asking?
Carol

Hi Carol
Well I use Prochem products, which are pretty much the industry standard...
I don't always use the same products from the range though, it depends on the type of carpet fibre and the level of dirt

Wool pile
Hessian backing

Yes, you have top be careful with this
Last time did the dirt rise back to the surface?

Cleaning products just brings the dirt sitting on top of the pile?
Is this the cleaning product?
Or
Is this where the last Person did the job to quickly?

They probably got the carpet too wet
I can come and have a look for you if you like, that might be best

Carpet dried with in an hour or so.
but it still looked dirty?
Yes that is best for You to have
a look as its hard explaining in
words?

You're in Swindon are you?

Yes

Monday, Wed, Fri I can do 9am?

Fri is best for me please?
What time Please?
Is this visit just to view?
Carol

9am Friday I can come to have a look. I could do the job then if it looks like a good result can be achieved.
Ok.

But
My Hubby taking my Hoover as he needs it, has He works away.
I won't be able to Hoover the carpet before You come on Friday.
Unless we say next week?

Don't worry, I do my own hoovering If Friday 9am is ok can I just take the address and phone number? Thanks

The Carpet Cleaning Price has disappeared?

It's up in my first reply - £75

Lounge
Stairs
Landing

I have no hall carpet as it wooden flooring.

Would you like to arrange that for Friday?

I'm just looking for the last Price You quoted and I can't find it?
Did You deleted it?

It was £75

So the break down price is
Lounge?
Stairs?
Landing?

All three £75 / lounge on its own £55 / stairs and landing £50
Stairs and landing Price only.

What's the best price on this please: Stair and Landing?

Lounge can wait till I've had it decorated.

Stairs & landing £50

I'll have to think about the Price please.

I don't usually get into long dialogue with customers via email but yesterday I did, she was just asking price and availability and drying times but it was elongated I kept getting notifications asking about furniture and appointment times it did go on for some time and I could have sorted it out far sooner over the phone but the customer who is always right and didn't want to do it that way, through persistence and a bit of interest to see how far I could push it I managed to nail the job, not all jobs are price conscious on the internet although I would base my business just on it alone.

ask them early on if they are in a position to book something in today.

I've been known to tell people on the phone that they are wasting my time as I could be speaking to someone else who would book my service.

Agree.

Sounds like she's had a sh*te job done by rotary, probably because she paid to little.

I wouldn't enter into a text marathon, ask for her number, much easier to explain the error of her ways and quicker.

Don't worry about it, it's the time of year I used to get it , before Xmas they don't care how much, it's just come and do the job, but after Xmas they are price seeking you will probably get this for about a couple of weeks or so till they've paid there debts off from Xmas.

I'm not worried about it. I just put it up as a humorous example of the stuff we sometimes have to deal with  ;D

Not all email exchanges work out bad though. I sometimes get profitable enquiries via the form on my website.

If it has done one thing though, this thread has made me think I'm not charging enough.

what is the best pro charging in your area? if you are new to business get your prices just a bit lower or the same. you do not want to compete on price, you want to be just best on quality.

Hi Guys

Our business is not as price sensitive as a lot think.

There are lots of customers who will pay a good price for a quality job.

Cheers

One guy near me is charging 3 rooms for £33 .00 , groupon  offer and his offer is for the next 6 months,

How much will he actually make from this deal ?  oh and the area is a 30 mile radius.

I,m not bothered ,I stick to my price , and although I am not rushed off my feet at this moment in time I do enough to keep me ticking over for the next couple of weeks.

geoff
who ever said dont knock before u try ,i never tried dog crap but i know i wouldnt like  haha

I agree Doug, it's about managing to get the filters right you don't want too many idiots but you have to get people to get in contact then again daft people will call any number.

Prices that are sky high is not an indication of quality.
