The Building Cleaning Academy
« on: December 29, 2014, 08:34:55 pm »
The Building Cleaning Academy....what happened?
You no longer answer my emails. You don't post on facebook.
You don't send me inspiring "tips" on how to expand my dying business.:'(
How will I survive? At first I was afraid
I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never live without you by my side...but now your gone.

You will survive, as long as you know how to clean you know you will survive.

Reece is still knocking about and doing OK

I guess he simply used the Building Cleaning Academy as a way to set up his new business buildingtransformation - if you think about it he did quite well in raising funds to set himself up as competition to the ones he was teaching/helping.
Great way to do business  ;D

For me his main problem was that he cannot deliver what you pay him for - therefore quickly losing credibility which he built up quickly - he ended up losing it quicker.

I wish him well in the future - he has some good ideas.

If I had paid money to join the academy then he had set up to do the work himself then I would of been a bit p-ss-d at him as the academy was originally to market the work and pass these leads onto the members not to cream of the best jobs for his own company
From meeting Reece my opinion was his skills where mainly in the marketing and generating of the work and not in the actual practical side of carrying out the job but I may have been wrong.

better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt

These academys all seem the same, I did the National academy of crime scene cleaners training and that is exactly the same. They generate work off its back and take all they can do and throw the carp out to the "members". They all start out with a marketable idea but it soon falls to greed - same as Checkatrade - and falls apart

Don't know who it was who rang me at the time but I vaguely remember him trying to indicate how a roof should be cleaned. From the drivel he was chatting I had a feeling he was full of crap.

Nothing except that they have created a monsters thats too big for them to control, they make promises they don't keep, put people on lists that they don't check their insurance and they let people get their mates to fill out the forms to get them to the top of the lists. We're still on their list and they have not seen our renewal nor have we paid the fees.

And for questioning all the above is the reason I was asked to leave (Phone call from the CEO) as they didn't want me bad mouthing them. Do I miss being a member……. NO, enquiries have not dropped off only difference is they are genuine enquires and not tyre kickers.

Same as Roger, I get more enquiries and they're not price shoppers, I haven't even been asked by any customers about checkatrade.
Money saved has gone into better seo.

We seem to have different results / experiences from these sites, maybe it's the services we offer  ???
Rarely suffer from price shoppers, recently joined cat, paid for itself in first month.

And it will be Mike as the services you offer are different to most?  just watch out for the goal posts moving over time with CAT  ;)
