Problem with Airflex Turbo
« on: December 24, 2014, 11:36:49 am »
Any ideas please.

Went to do a job this morning and couldn't get vacs 1 and 2 to work.Just dead when switching them on.

Vac 3 and the fan are working. All 3 vacs and the fan are on the same plug and the pump on the other plug is fine.

Was fine yesterday on my last job.

It was raining though and just wondering if some water may have got in somehow.I did have machine covered but I cant think of any other reasons could this be the problem?.Nothing has blown as afar as I'm aware.

Thanks

Wayne

Wayne do you have a remote control box? I had a problem once when i covered machine but forgot about the remote box and although it was o.k on that job it wouldn't work later on, i just opened it up and used a hair dryer to dry it out and it was fine after that.

No I don't have the remote Richard.

Strange one this I'm just hoping its just some moisture got in that will dry out.

Cleansmart shut until Jan so I cant ask for advice there

First thing, have you checked the flow switch inside of the waste tank? if its in the "up" position  it'll cut out the vacs. Unscrew the plastic tube an cleaned the switch. Make sure its straight, not pointing up.

Second
Open up the machine. Look for a couple of black wires that go from the motor or power supply (cant remember which), up into the top half of the machine. These two black cables should be going in to a small white, wire connector (the one that you screw the wires into). One or both of these wires might have disconnected. Two going in, two going out.

The wire connector in question is located directly above the pumphead. Part of the cluster of wires and hose that goes up in to the body of the machine (where the switches and regulator are found).

That'll be £10 please  8)

vacs 1 and 2 are probably on the same cord  .... firstly i would check the plug on that cord for blown fuse or loose wire  ....  then follow up the wire  and try and find where the electricity stops . one of these voltage testers is worth picking up as u dont have touch the naked wires of use meters etc , just run along the wire .
