New Pole not needed
« on: December 17, 2014, 01:55:09 pm »
I usually work with 2 poles, my 28ft glass fibre Pole (working pole) and a 40ft Aluminum Pole, both from Brodex. Heavy as you like! I cant afford carbon fibre prices and was saving up when the new exceed Pole gave me an idea. Why not use the internal pipe Idea on the Ali pole and take 3 sections off . Its fantastically lighter than my glassfibre and fits in my van perfectly. When I want to add the other sections I just pop them on and just tighten. It works really well.

I really appreciate the inspiration and ideas that all of you have. Thank you.

Has life been made easier for anyone else here on this forum?

save up lee and buy a full carbon pole mate.itll make a hell of a difference to your working day.an SLX 25 would be perfect for you.then as you go on and earn more an Xtreme pole.they are simply worth their weight in gold when your poling day in/day out.

im personally not interested in reel hose going up the bottom of my pole.in fact the pole hose is a lot lighter than reel hose.as for connectors i use rectus 26 and they only need changing twice a year at most even being dragged along the ground at times. ;)
price higher/work harder!
