Changing my hose this weekend, just started getting a leak at the exit of the shurflo pump, is 1/2 inch pipe best? I use the wing nut style fitting, with half inch male, but will a slightly smaller diameter hose be more 'snug' ?
Take the opportunity to convert to JG Fittings.
Put one of the these on the outlet of the pumphttp://www.screwfix.com/p/flexible-tap-connector-15mm-x-x-300mm/13143?kpid=13143&cm_mmc=Google-_-Product%20Listing%20Ads-_-Sales%20Tracking-_-sales%20tracking%20url&kpid=13143&cm_mmc=Google-_-Shopping%20-%20Plumbing-_-Shopping%20-%20Plumbing&gclid=CJWAgs35ysICFYgIwwod4yAAMgThen on the other end, put a male hoselock fitting (after taking off the nut and olive) ....
It works a treat Jakey, been using them for ages
Depends if you have male or female on shurflo.http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/john-guest-1-2-inch-push-in-fitting-to-1-2-inch-female-screw-bsp-thread-socket.htmlhttp://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/john-guest-1-2-inch-push-in-fitting-to-1-2-inch-male-screw-bspt-thread.htmlFemale and male. Shurflo i am sure is 1/2 inch only.1/2 tube then work out on how to connect to hose reel.Could just plug this in, converting to a barb. Then jubilee clip your hose on.http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/1-2-inch-john-guest-stem-to-1-2-inch-barb.html
