Clarke CBM 240 booster pump
« on: December 13, 2014, 02:22:12 pm »
Just getting things organised for my rainwater IBC system and will be changing my current booster pump which is this

https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/cbm250ss-1in-stainless-steel-booster-pum

reason for changing it is once it reaches max pressure it turns off until the pressure drops then it turns on again and it spends all its time on and off .... this is not good for a 4040 and as Im changing that as well I don't want to knacker new 4040 up .... Im aware I can deactivate the pressure switch but as its nearly 4 years old its prob time to renew it anyways.

Going for a CBM240 as most on here recommend them but not sure what the electronic controller actually does on the "E" model ... if it turns pump on and off like my current one then wont be buying that one.

The electronic controller is a flow switch , if you have float valve to switch off the mains water this will stop the pump as soon as the water flow stops .

You can buy it separately to fit any other pump as well .
