I have a extreme 47, top two sections broke in half and landed on someone's conservatory, when I informed gardiner pole systems they said nothing to do with us which it isn't, but they should be something on the paperwork  as when  you get your new pole that states , when your pole gets to certain  thickness mm etc then your pole should be chucked away.

Interesting. My 47' with 6 HS extensions snapped at the top section. On the way down another section broke.
I called Gardiners' office and had to email them pictures of the break.
18 hours later i had 2 brand new sections delivered. At no cost to myself.

The whole 'chucked away' statement-not gonna work is it. You'd need a micrometer to measure accurately.
I've not got any 5 storey houses with conservatories.
