25ft xtreme pole worn out after 18 months
« on: December 12, 2014, 06:39:05 pm »
ive used it every day for 95% of my work but top 2 sections completely worn down now and both sections have split at the bottom.got fed up with it today so ive got my emergency pole out for tomorrow which is a 22 SLX BUT resi neck wont fit in the top!its too tight a fit!so ive had to put a carbon gooseneck in the top instead. ::)roll

i think ill buy  2 brand new top sections for extreme as the other sections are ok.do they come with the metal clamping band now?

You could of course, just whip a couple of sections off your other Extreme pole for now.

ive used it on virtually everything.f/s/g cleans and conny roofs etc as well over the last 18 months.yep they dont last as long but good light poles.

i think ill sell it on to another window cleaner i know for peanuts as i know he s struggling a bit.if he tapes up the 2 top banded sections itll last a bit longer. ;D

im gonna order another now if alex has got any in stock! :)

I told you to stick with the Brodex alloy there wouldn't even be a mark on the paintwork
in 18 months.

We just replace sections. It's false economy doing anything different.

A good mate of mine had a CLX 18 for 4 years. He's a human version of a Jack Russel. Never cleaned it, never maintained it. It lasted 4 years but he totally anialated it :-)

Why is that its only money he would be paying in tax anyway is it not?

Yes, but only 30% of what he pays for it will be deducted from his tax bill, not the total cost, which would in fact mean everything would be free and we all know that isn't the case don't we children  :P

Yes but he'll be spending £500 to save approx £100-£125 in tax/NI- when you take into account 10k tax relief.

I think it's  a bit of a joke these extremes wearing down like they do....

Alex Gardiner said it was the aquadapter  that was wearing mine down...well guess what I've took it off the last few months and the sections are still wearing down at the same rate!!!
