£50 a year for the basic membership fee.

I'm still to be convinced it's worth it though.

I am a fan of MGWC. I feel they offer value for joey and also keep u up to date on loads of stuff. Plus they need to make a profit as well!
I have been impressed with them so far

Sorry to say since Nate sold it, passed it on, it went right down hill with membership prices going right up. It has little to nothing to offer, no official power, a bit of bling for those who need a comfort blanket of an organisation to be apart of.

The Guild was never about profit - it was passed on without any exchange of money. But building up an organisation like this costs money which is one of the big reasons I never got it nearly as far as I wanted to, so I think the increase in member fees was probably the only way to move the organisation forward.

Lee has big plans for the Guild, and up until recently Richard Everinghams efforts have been quite a visible demonstration of those member fees being re-invested in moving the organisation forward. Richard has recently left the Guild though, so the pressure is on Lee to keep that momentum going & find someone with the same enthusiasm and energy to keep driving it forward.

You are beyond reproach, as for where the guild will end up, well that's another matter, my cynical side says to me that the guild is no longer around for the "not for profit" part of its existence....

I was always a fan of the Guild, Nat did a great job & all credit to him. I'm not against it now, a bit more suspicious & I'll not be committing until some of the issues raised on here are cleared up!!
