Yes wasnt a nice place, i always assumed eastbourne to be a nice area with loads of old happy people but all i saw was alcoholics, foreigners, single teen mums etc.
Everyone was rude.

Looked at site before. 3x clean and the only guarantee is they will top up any cancellations next time you use them! ???

sp pay 3000 for 1000 of work, lose a couple of hundred say and be left with 800 only topping back up if you use them again?

or use a different canvasser who charges 2x and covers cancellations

Seems expensive, but uf youve money to burn...

This is a joke right!

You're knocking people trying to sell established rounds for 6x the monthly yet you're prepared to buy uncleaned work for 3x, so in reality you're spending 4x the cleaning time as the 1st clean or 2 will take longer.

Chances are if you're buying an established round from a legitimate seller them you should experience no drop offs at all. Your x3 work is liable to drop at least 20% after the first clean or 2.

I'd rather buy a well established round than 3x canvassed, but saying that I've never done either.

I've tried various methods and they all have there pit falls and if people don't want to use them it's up to them I have used them before and I'm happy to use them again and yes I guess if I'm happy with Wat I'm getting it don't matter. It's a bit like the window cleaner knocking your work and offer to do it for 5 less than your price does it mean he's a rubbish shiner or are u just expensive ??

That's what I was thinking. Less chance of loosing customers buying a round.
What way did you do it then? If you didn't buy and didnt rep?

January was the time to hire  them.

And you need canvassers 2 weeks before xmas yet have been cleaning "a few years now"

They are fantastic blah blah blah -there is not such a thing existing in window cleaning canvassing.

Mates down pub or relatives?

Duncan I just mass leafleted initially, which got me going.

PureShine, if you're happy doing what you're doing that all is good. I just wanted to point out that 6x purchase price for an established round is peanuts compared to 3x on canvassed work.

Im gonna be setting up a small team soon to hire out to other window cleaners in the new year, going to be x1.5 cleans with no guarantee or x2 cleans for a 2 clean guarantee, wont be replacing any work just the cash outlay for any dropouts.
Will be doing it as planned canvassing hits and will take 2 weeks for every £500 of work gained as will be making sure its all fine tuned work and ready to go on the desired start date/dates with minimal trouble customers.
Its a couple of girls that will be canvassing, my sister and another i have been using for 3 years on and off building me up who realy have great selling techniques and of course me myself. Will be hitting 70 mile radious from central london.
Will only be taking on guys who want to grow at a steady pace with regular 3/6 month interval canvass campaigns so i can get a sold board structure in place so will get better and better results the more we do for you.

So any way each to there own it works for me and clearly we all have ideas about what works for us if u can get it cheaper else were that's awesome news and if u prefer to buy an established that's great to .It was only a post to say how awesome it was to have such a great result and I'm fully aware of customers dropping out and blah blah blah but to be honest it's 1 day a week for 12 weeks that I didn't have any work for to recoup the money so in the long run even if 20% drop of in 6 months I've covered my money a bit like times 6 an established round but thanks for all your enthusiasm about growing my round despite a little extra cost at my expense I'm well happy means I can employ my guy 5 days a week and I earn more money .

Interesting thread. Looks like some new boys, just set up last month.

If you read between the lines on their refund policy they charge 1x for one offs which sort of defeats the purpose of having a refund policy and that is only if you take them on for further campaigns. If you don't take them on for further campaigns you pay 3x for any that turn out to be one offs. His only guarantee is to phone them to try to get them back on.
Where am I knocking today?

80 jobs in 3 days is a good result.... but 3 x times the first clean is a bit OTT
in reality it should be 2 times, but if that works for you then all is fine
personally I would never pay more than 2 times for a canvasser

Why not employ someone to canvass from 4pm to 7pm five days a week. You could pay £7.50 ph and offer 50% of first clean.
That would cost you about £30 a day plus any bonuses and if you get too much work sell it to other guys in the area.
Of course the biggest problem is finding someone with all the right attributes including reliability.

Depends on the work.

Of one canvasser gets the job at a tenner and you pay 2x that's fine.
But if another can get the same job for £15, it's worth paying 3x.

until you lose that 15 job to the other window cleaner after a month who knocks on the door charging a tenner
