I'm considering switching to one of these.  850 payload should be fine with 400 litre tank (possibly 500 but might be pushing it if I carry too much other stuff).  Mileage around 85,000.
Anything I need to know about vulnerabilities etc. please?  Running costs.
It looks like my previous van has given up the ghost - though this has yet to be confirmed.
I only do about 9,000 miles a year so I'm guessing it should be OK for another 5+ years.
I would go new but simply can't afford it right now.

Coming in at 800kg, I don't have much in the van though... Run very low fuel, and I only weigh 11.5st!

Thanks guys.  Nice tidy set up there Jake.  I think I need to lose a load of weight .

Jake.  Did those poles fit in behind the bulkhead or have you made holes in it to accommodate them?

Yeah I cut through the bulk head using a hole saw, though it didn't work well so had to use the drill and keep making small holes! Then pushed the drain pipes through, the poles then rest on the ledge in the front, fit really well and keeps them out the way! Yku can use pipe brackets and fit them to the support bar across the middle of the roof, and jobs a gooden'!

It's something I would rather avoid if I can get away with it but if I must, I must.  I'm thinking along the lines of a lower tank and seeing if the poles will go diagonally (top corner to opposite low corner).  I do want to work more tidily though so maybe the bulkhead manipulation is the way forward..  I had more space and weight before and it just got filled with garbage that was rarely used.  I want to change that now.

Yeah i plan to run my van into the ground, so the holes in bulkhead don't worry me, it really saves space, a flat tank is a good idea, I just found I would rather have the room!

As for reliability, connects are bullet proof! Have a read of the Parkers review, or what van reviews
