You need to tell us what model van it is.

Here is one we did for my son back in 2007.

If I were to do this again I would follow the same procedure that I did when I fitted son in law's tank into his Connect van 3 years ago.

I welded up a steel frame with angle iron as a base and then welded bent-to-fit straps to go round the tank to the base. The rear bolts exited in the 'space' behind the diesel tank but before the rear axle. The front bolts were also secured by gaining access to them from behind the front seats. We drilled a couple of holes for side supports carefully and fitted them with nutserts. Short bolts meant that they didn't damage the fuel tank. I would follow the same mounting procedure as with son's van although his is working well some 7 years  later.

When trying to find a safe place to drill, you can follow the ridges inside the van and look for them underneath. Once pretty satisfied, then check by drilling a tiny hole. If its wrong its easy to seal up with silicone.

All it takes is a lot of forethought and careful planning.
