draining hose reals and pumps

wishing to drain pumps and hose reals, can anyone tell me how to do this so it leaves no freezable water in the hose or pumps, normally will use immersion heater but van is away tonight, will disconnecting the hose reals drain all the water or will some sit in it

We blow our hoses out with an air compressor. The pump we just disconnect and switch on for a minute.

do you think a little 12v car one would work? where do you connect the compressor ?

Turn your pump off with pole connected to the pole it will drain most of the reel

When you do this reel out about 10 Mtrs or so of hose reel it in and out again a couple of times it will pump more out from deep in the reel and not just the first say 3rd of the hose

Probably. I use rectus 26ka fittings which are air fittings so can fit directly onto an air compressor.

About an hour ago I just noticed how cold it actually is :o, cars are frozen and my equipment hasn't moved for three days so I defo need to sort it out tomorrow or I'll be up the creak on Monday.
