No but seriously I buy 500psi pumtec pump heads for about £125 and for that reason I dont bother to service them, I just get a replacement head,  every 18- 24 months I imagne the 400 type is about the same money, thats unless you want the motor as well , they are about £200-250 plus vat but they last for years, I have one in my Scorpion that is 7 years old and still going strong

I would not pay that much for an older model type machine with a dodgy pump . It might just need the head though ...or ahead kit.
Does it have a built in steammate at least ?

I would suspect that nobody would know WTF you are talking about  

But guessing: If your thinking of replacing a low powered pump for a Pumptec 205, it's not worth the effort or cost.

I have an account with a certain supplier who will remain nameless but thats what I pay for a 600 psi pumptec pump head, I can buy the service parts for a lot less yhan £90 but to be honest I couldn't be bothered stripping the old pump and thats why I just get a new head, generally every couple of years
I think it because I use water hotter than 65c , I have a drop in imersion heater with both of my Scorpions

Did mine last year service kit was about £50 ish.
Lot of faffing will probably get new head next time and do the old one at my leisure for a spare.
Where does everyone get their new heads?

The valve kit costs me about £20 inc vat and its a bit more for the plunger/ piston and guides but I get an engineering mate to repair them when I have a few
