Mobile Credit/Debit Card Payments
« on: December 04, 2014, 08:56:35 am »
I am about to start a new carpet & upholstery cleaning business, I want to have the ability to take card payments after having carried out the work at a customers home or business, what's the best most cost effective way of doing this?

i don't take card payments, just cheque, cash or bank transfer, don't have any problems getting paid, I suppose I could upsell a lot more if people just "stick it on the card" so might give it some thought

P.S If you are only just starting a cleaning business, the focus should be on getting the clients first before you worry too much about how they might pay

Which is so true.
I never needed one but lost a couple of jobs a couple of years ago because I couldn't take card payment, which is why I got one. Some months I forget I've got it then ill have a run of card payments.
I do like not having to go to the bank and queue up to pay cheques in tho.

so do world pay zinc jim, world pay zinc charge nothing per month and a fixed fee per transaction of 2.75%  but if you want you can pay a monthly fee of £6 a month and your percentage drops to 1.95%.
Obviously if you only use it on rare occasions like me then the "no monthly fee" is a great option but if you use it a lot then the £6,00 a month is your best.

did i mention my code which gets you £10 off, FR336229  ;D

Wife used it today to take a deposit over the phone, simples.
