i had some silver backed underlay left over after laying a wood floor so decided to insulate my van with

it, am hoping that the silver backing will reflect the heat from my oil filled radiator when i use it

it worked out less than £20 for 15sq mtrs and £5 for some spray glue

ill see how it goes

If it's cheap as possible you want, then go to the DIY merchants and ask for some damaged insulation boards (Kingspan/Celotex)......had  some before and they only charged me £1.00 a board  ;).

When insulating you need to be very careful and use breathable materials. Damp for moisture can sit behind the insulation and rot the steel panels.

My advise would be to see what the VW camper van conversion guys do as they also have to deal with minimal ventilation and moisture.

Diesel heater with a frost at monitor is all you need finish work connect hose to tank for the water to circulate when temp drops below 5 degrees, you can leave the doors and windows open all night cos nothing will freeze lol

You asked for cheap ideas, nothing wrong with 'bargain basement' idea.....so crack-on and work it out fore yourself.
