You should speak to Mike Roberts for roof cleaning.
Thanks Roger appreciated
Its all straight forward really, clays + concretes pressure clean, slates spray some fungicidal wash on it OR the simplest method is to get the customer to do a Google search
is it really that simple?
NO ... But I make it complicated, Hi Rob
well.......ummmmmmm, thanks for the indepth explination
Look not trying to be funny mate but had this so many times before.
You started off saying its pretty straight forward, I was actually being sarcastic with my other comment.
From the outset I would say its anything but straight forward, to carry out the clean properly In my view you need to walk on the actual roof. Few guys on here say different and use booms tele poles, booms are fine for large commercials but for domestics you very rarely have access, cleaning over a roof in a boom using a telepole you simply cant clean the return of the tail, look at the photos posted on here close up, the returns are still dirty. As a company we also coat so the tile needs to be completely clean no excuses we also use airless sprayers so again you cant do this properly without being on the roof.
Established you are now on the roof, what safety system do you use ? Do you use any ? majority don't. Some use harness lanyard attached to roof ladder, take that method to any commercial and you will be walked off site. Roof ridge tiles can fail hence using this method offers ltd protection. We use two ropes for positioning and fall protection.
Next actual cleaning we use pressure washing do a search on other methods all already covered.
What happens to the water, obviously you need to block down pipes this then causes the water to flood down onto ground level. We have developed a system which allows us to vacuum, recover, filter and return to main feedtank. Again its how seriously you take your cleaning.
All of this and we havent even looked at roof types, hip roofs, dormers etc etc, maybe given you something to think about, I would never of taken on roof cleaning before I had gained yrs of experience cleaning on ground level ... I need to be somewhere else good luck Mike
