Hav3 done a few hips with the ropes, but makes it awkward when the anchor point is either front or back and hip is at the side, nothing for the rope to wrap arou d or anchor too when doing the hip.

Tower is a nice idea.
Sometimes possible to use frt and back anchors & 'link' ropes to create a 'central' anchor point  ;)

On the hip there is no ridge to hook the roof ladder over.
