December cleans gonna be a week early
« on: December 02, 2014, 06:12:19 pm »
Want to finish on Friday 19th and don't want to work between Christmas and New Year

did have work scheduled to enable this to happen but got a serious dose of man flu in November so got a week behind with work  >:(

so pulling all jobs a week forward as from next week ... 95% of mine are monthly cleans

how many will notice / care do you think ............. working on basis that they all be happy to have clean windows for Christmas ............ well apart from the ones due just before Christmas who will now have 1 week old dirty windows  ;D

Should not be an issue with most , 2 weeks before Xmas I start bringing work forward in an effort to get everyone done but not finishing till Xmas eve .

Yup, I'm a week early.
No complaints yet.
If there are any I'll say it's 'cause I want time off with my lads.
Had 1 'not this time' though. But I'm on day 6 of Decembers work.

Bang on time here, but pulling work in early now to get the time off. Shouldn't be an issue really. Going to be one of our best Christmas breaks ever I think  ;)

I wouldn't pull monthly customers a week forward, but I don't think it would be a problem with 8 weekly cleans.

I have this year, Tosh. As I need the time.
I've done 2 weeks work as of tonight.
Only had one 'not this time'
If you do want the time off, I think most of your customers would be fine with it.
Mine certainly are.

If they don't want them early then wont be done till January.

so far so good ... done a full day today of monthly customers 5 days early ... no issues or comments ... tomorrow doing them a full 7 days early the few I had to text tonight to leave gate open had this added to normal text "earlier than normal due to loosing a week because of Christmas"

also put the following note with "your windows were cleaned today" slip

Dear XXXXXXXXX,

Due to Christmas I loose the final 7 days of December from the work schedules.

So as not to let any customers down by missing their December clean I need to bring all scheduled cleans forward by about 6 days.

Hence the reason you’re seeing me a little bit sooner than normal.

Thank you for your custom throughout the year and all the best for Christmas and the New Year.

Ian the Window Cleaner.

Sometimes I think im guilty of over thinking this job  :)
