Go on then, what's the highest reading you let you water go to on your TDS metre before your conscience (or complaints) makes you change your resin?

I think i could go higher, as i have in the past by accident, but I'm happy at 10.

I'm on a twin DI system so have nothing to gain by letting the TDS rise but having said that I usually change around 5ppm. I have (by accident) cleaned a huge country house with 36ppm before!! Pooped my pants on discovery as I'd almost finished the job but on close inspection, out of the whole house I found the very odd, tiny water mark- only noticeable to a trained eye. Finished the job without issue, wouldn't recommend that though!! ;D

I've had some very inconsistent results from resin over the last 18 months to 2 years. Never known it be so up & down before. ???

I always said I'd never let it go over 0.03 but I'm beginning to wonder if I should push the boundaries or not :-)

We replace our resin once TDS gets to 72.  Above that and customers seem to get arsey for some reason.  Saves us a fortune in resin, which is what matters.

went to 40 once without realising, had a complaint so checked tds.
Usually change now at about 10.
Lots of factors though, whether the glass sheets or beads and more importantly the chemical make up of the water in your region of the country.

I get my resin from the shop on the a6 just outside hazel grove - £75 a bag with vat
It's tulsion I think
I seem to change my 12 litre vessel every 4 weeks ... Just snuck up on me this time ? Maybe the tap water tds changes

If I had more space id go ro but in a terrace :(
Looks like a few jobs are getting cleaned with 35 tds tomorrow
Good job it's dark early Innit :)

I like to keep to 000 just for the sake of the post

I know tomorrow is exception :)

It just means when I get complaints I know it ain't the water

Amazing how opinions have changed over the years, 5 years back there were guys on this forum pulling their hair out in a panic when their tds reached 002  ;D
