Heated hose upgrade
« on: November 30, 2014, 09:31:08 am »

Am I right in assuming that you can use one of these from your water heater?

And, if I want to upgrade the hose connections, will the Pro 26 couplings from Gardiner fit?

If not, then how have you gone about upgrading the connection from the outlet thread on the heater to the hose reel thread exactly?

I know you guys have gone over this a number of times in the past, but I can't seem to find what I'm looking for in a search.

I appreciate any help.

Nick

Use these if they will work with hot.

They are amazing. Not had one drip or leak in nearly 2 years.

Pure, you wouldn't believe how long I've been looking for those connectors on the Gardiner website.  :)

Very much appreciated!

Don't use this one on the hose reel because after a while the wear and the female connector gets jammed on

You get what  you need  from wickes diy , £9  for a full  set all in brass , you get one for the heater as in your pic , two of the females  , take note though one of them is a waterstop type , this one is best used to join the reel , and you get a garden sprayer too !

I reported this to Alex some time ago and he had mentioned that the manufacture was hoping to adjust tolerances to stop this happening. BUT i do agree with Alex and you, they are not designed to spin.

Brass elbow on the hosereel. You could use radiator hose if you wanted with them.
