van set up, hose pushfit fittings
« on: November 26, 2014, 09:10:11 pm »
do most guys use the hose lock push fit fittings,      ive a couple of good ones from wilkinsons, better than the plain plastic green ones.

is this the normal way to connect,       people have mentioned microbore hose and rectus fittings, from water tank to reel,    is this a more secure and  leak free option.

is there such a thing as garden hosepipe john guest  pushfit fittings ???

set it all up today,    a bit weary about the hosepipe fittings leaking,

im looking at bringing pump in when -0   freezing comes,

Just make sure the Wilkinson ones are pushed in fully, until they click and a bit more. I connected tank up and fell asleep. Came back to water logged drive. I hadn't connected it correctly to filter which was out side. Another time, the connection to tank valve. Gallons lost. They are really good quality but take some pushing home

I use 15mm rigid pipe and John guest fitting from the tank to the pumps then tricoflex hose with hozelock to reel - get gardena fittings they come with a twist lock so don't come off.
