Any of you guys use a specific program/software to keep track of your customers? I have been a bit slack, just waiting for the repat work to come in but i  want to take it a bit more seriously, chase the domestic customers each year.

Software called cleaner planner being used by the window cleaners, anyone using it for pressure washing?

Hi Matt,

Matt I use cleaners mate for everything.

It does all different sides of my business, you can market very easily from it using mail chimp or text local. Do quotations and invoices at the click of a button, set reminders, follow how your marketing is working.

Plus Kev the owner is great, and will always answer any questions within 24 hrs.

Free trial is available. I liked it that much that I bought a desktop soley for this as it doesn't work on macs and that's what I use.

Not a fan of chasing old customers for repeat work. If they loved the job we did, which I'm confident they did, then they'll be back in touch.
The time spent chasing the old for repeats is time to be used attracting the new.

Getting a repeat customers costs a fraction of getting a new one though. Girl who works for me just sends out between 10-20 emails/texts per week and can bring in 2 or 3 repeats. We use it mainly for carpet cleaning but more and more for pressure washing.

You'd be surprised how many people say I couldn't remember what your company name was I'm glad you've got in touch. Some people even ask me to give them a shout in six months now so they don't forget.

Plus when you come to sell your business it's worth a lot more with a data base of 20,000 customers! It's the only reason Tesco ect have a club card so they can sell to them.

Kev who owns cleaners mate that I used gives out template emails etc to use and edit how you want, one he did recently brought in a return of thousands off one email!

I asked this question a while back but I wanted one that was android compatible as I wanted to buy a Samsung note / tablet to replace my diary.... I was well impressed with with cleaners mate but they have no plans to turn it into an app :(
Surely someone out there has created one for android / ipad devices as tablets are outselling laptops and pc's now aren't they???

I love android but I have an ipad. I went out to buy the latest Samsung tablet then discovered you can't put a sim in it. Have they not done one yet with a sim slot?

i looked at a few matt, cleaners mate seemed the biz but as I say, not on android format, spoke to the guy and he said he had no intentions of going down the tablet route as it would cost thousands :(
Cleaner planner looks good, which is mobile / tablet compatible, however they have a monthly cost, which I don't like the idea of, I'm more of a 1 off payment guy, don't like being tied down to contracts and I like to keep my overheads down//// still searching, let me know how you get on Matt, maybe if you spoke to cleaner planner they  may do you a deal if your prepared to pay one off?
Also looked at other programmes designed for businesses similar to ours, carpet cleaners, gardeners, etc. theres lot's of good looking carpet cleaning ones over in the states

That's where the market comes into it. In the US there will be something like 50,000 carpet cleaners(a guess) to 1,500 here.

Im sure they do a 3g one don't they?
Usually the larger ones (9inch plus) are the ones with sims. I'm pretty sure a galaxy note 10.1 inch has a sim slot as it's 3G?
I hate apple / iTunes, theyre trying to corner the market and when you install in pc at home it wants to take over your full computer.... also it converts all your mp3's into iTunes format as it won't play straight mps, once converted they won't play on an mp3 / windows media player... t@@ts

Your right Lee, the states have it all. every thing is big business! All the pressure washing guys seem to be mainstream and hit it full throttle too, they don't do things by halves over there

Thinking about it, I think 50,000 is way too high. I've just finished one bottle of red.  ;D

I know what you mean about the monthly fee mate but i think its a monthly fee because its a cloud based program. No monthly contract though. I might give it a try in the new year. I was thinking about a standard exel spreadsheet but i want the program i use to be automated with emails/invoices etc..
